Q: Will I get my order before they are available in stores?
A: Yes, all kickstarter pledges will be sent out before they are available in stores.
Q: Can I increase my pledge level on Kickstarter manually?
A: Yes you sure can. You can add any amount to your pledge and choose exactly what items you want to add at our pledge manager CrowdOx after the Kickstarter ended
Q: Will there be more available after the kickstarter?
A:They will be available through different channels after the Kickstarter has ended. At the moment we can´t make any promise on the time frame or exactly where.
Q: Can I order them to stock up my store
A: Yes, there will be a retailer pledge for Brick and Mortar stores
Q: Will I be able to add more products after Kickstarter has ended?
A: We´re working with CrowdOx as our pledge manager. After the kickstarter has ended you´ll be able to add more items to your order.Q: Are there any extra costs if I add items with CrowdOx?A: No
Q: How is my order packed?
A: All orders will be packed in brown cardboard boxes with sufficient packing material to keep paintbrushes and busts safe. If you would get a damaged product, don't hesitate to contact us at sales@squidmar.com
Q: Are the shipment traceable?
A: Yes, all orders are shipped with tracking number. We use different shipping companies depending on where you live.
Q: When will I receive my order?
A: If everything goes as planned we´ll start shipping orders in november
Q: If I don´t want any of your pledge levels can I still order items?
A: Yes, you can choose an amount freely and after Kickstarter has ended you can choose what you would like to purchase at our pledge manager.
Q: Do I pay shipping with Kickstarter?
A: No, the shipping cost will be added at CrowdOx. But you can see an estimated shipping cost in our story under shipping. We´ll try to keep shipping cost as low as possible.
Q: Are your brushes the same as Da Vinci Maestro Series?
A: No, our brushes are unique. They are especially developed with Da Vinci according to Squidmar Miniature's wishes to get the best paint brushes possible.
Q: How are these different from other brushes?
A: We’ve worked to make a brush specifically made for miniature painting with high quality hair. In comparison to synthetic hair the quality of the tip and how long the brushes last is just vastly different. We feel that most quality brushes on the market have too long hair or are too thin, causing the brushes to not keep the shape enough and loose shape while applying the lightest pressure. We’ve found a fantastic ground where the brush is easy to work with, holds its shape and tip over a long time and follows the miniatures sculpts smoothly.
Q: How are the sizes compared to W&N S7?
A: Since the shape of the brush isn't the same, there’s no direct transfer in sizes. However, we would say it's most similar, but not identical, to their 00-2. At size 2 our Large is slightly shorter but has similar width. Our XL on the other hand is both slightly longer and wider.
Q: What material are the paint brushes made of?
A: They are made by Da Vinci from high quality Tobolski Kolinsky hair.
Q: Are the busts 3d prints?
A: No, they are high quality moulded and cast resin busts
Q: Are the models multipart?
A: Yes they are. The number of parts varies between different busts. We recommend that you use super glue to assemble them.
Q: Are the busts pre-painted?
A: No
